So. The day has come. I’m writing an engagement pictures blog post for one of my sisters! Last summer, Alyson moved to North Carolina to pursue her seminary degree and found work at the true source of heaven’s sweet nectar…Chick-Fil-A. As a side note, if anyone from Chick-Fil-A reads this, there is a long and growing list of things I would trade/give up/do for a location in Cabot. In all seriousness. Let’s make this happen.
So.
Anyway.
Then, this guy David comes on the scene and plays his cards right! They worked together, became friends, and next thing I know, I’m getting a phone call from my little sister telling me about this boy. Fast forward even more, and I’m getting another phone call saying that he’s not just a boy, but the boy.
This summer, my whole family got to spend the week at Table Rock Lake – away from cell service and Wi-Fi. It. Was. Beautiful. The plan was to shoot their engagements there, but some photographer who was supposed to do it (aka me) forgot the camera when we were packing tank tops and flip flops. Fortunately for me, there wasn’t an abundance of areas I was familiar with, so we decided to meet up at 6:00 AM the morning after we all went home to do their pictures. I’m so thankful we made the choice to wait until the pictures. It was a blast to get some more time with them, despite having evidently chosen to take the pictures in the resting place for every mosquito in the state of Arkansas.
In the end, I’m really excited to be gaining a brother come end of 2013! I won’t, thank goodness, be shooting the wedding. When the time comes, I’ll post a link to their wedding pictures, but for now, here are a handful of the engagement pictures.
