January 12, 2007. Three years ago from today, I graduated High School. It’s strange to look back and think of how much has changed since then. I know it’s cliche, but in all seriousness, if you’d have given me a highlight real for graduation of what would go on in my life in the next 3 years, I would not have believed it, and in some ways I’d be a little afraid.
I graduated a semester early, and then on January 27th, I said farewell to my family and flew out to South Africa, where I joined in ministry with some of the most amazing (and interesting) people I’ve met, to this day. I was fortunate enough to experience lots of things, from the extravagant, such as miracles, to the simple, such as taking joy in rain. On that trip, God opened my eyes to a lot of what his calling on my life was, but I didn’t quite know (and still probably dont know) where in particular that’s taking me. But I’ll still run hard.
I’m continually thankful for everything and everyone God has put in my life since graduating, and here’s to looking back years from now, and being amazed yet again.
